Pantry Ninja Terms of Use

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and RetiredInfoGeek, LLC (“we”) for the use of the Pantry Ninja app (the “App”). By installing or using the App you accept them. Apple’s standard End User License Agreement also applies to apps from the App Store; where it conflicts with these terms, Apple’s terms govern as between you and Apple.

The App

Pantry Ninja is a pantry inventory and shopping list app. Your data is stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for keeping backups of anything you don’t want to lose; the Silver and Gold levels include a backup and restore feature for this purpose.

Free version and limits

The free version is fully functional within these limits: 25 items, 8 categories, 5 locations and 1 store. Limits are shown in the App on the Home tab.

Subscriptions

The App offers three optional auto-renewable subscriptions, purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Each level includes everything in the levels below it.

LevelPeriodUS priceIncludes
Bronze1 month$0.9950 items, 15 categories, 15 locations, 2 stores, purchase-date tracking
Silver1 year$14.99100 items, 30 categories, 30 locations, 3 stores, backup and restore
Gold1 year$24.99No caps on items, categories or locations, 5 stores, Family Sharing

Prices in other countries are set by Apple in local currency and are shown in the App before you buy. We may change prices for future periods; Apple will notify you and ask for consent where its rules require it.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge is made within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Cancelling. Manage or cancel in your Apple account settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep your level until the end of the period already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  • Upgrades and downgrades. Moving to a higher level takes effect immediately, with Apple crediting the unused part of the old period. Moving to a lower level takes effect at the next renewal.
  • Family Sharing. The Gold level can be shared with members of your Apple Family. Each family member keeps their own pantry on their own device; the subscription is shared, the data is not.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its refund policy. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves.
  • Restoring purchases. Reinstalling the App or moving to a new device restores your level automatically when you are signed in with the same Apple account; “Restore Purchases” on the subscriptions page does the same on demand.

When a subscription ends

If a subscription lapses, expires or is refunded, the App keeps all of your data for a 21-day grace period and shows a reminder. After the grace period, data above the free limits is removed to bring the pantry within those limits. Re-subscribing during the grace period keeps everything.

Acceptable use

Use the App for its intended purpose and in accordance with Apple’s terms. Don’t attempt to circumvent the subscription levels.

Disclaimer and liability

The App is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee it will be error-free or suit a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for subscriptions in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above changes when we do, and material changes will be noted in the App’s release notes. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it.
